A little bit of this and that

Someday Summary - Tuesday

2 September 2014

  • It looks like Summer is well and truly leaving us now, and Winter is coming. Last week there was sunshine and the prospect of ice cream, this week we have grey skies and hot chocolates. Not that I'm complaining at all - Winter is by far the best season of the year. Cosy jumpers, candles and Christmas - what more could you possibly ask for?!
  • I'm going to visit some of my friends in Dundee next weekend and so, my world is currently bus fares and seeing if I can get there and back on £10 alone - student budgeting at its finest. I am SO excited though to see them and to see their house. Which reminds me, I should probably buy them some form of housewarming gift, even though it's been a year, woops.
  • I (finally) bought myself a scrapbook to start getting all my stuff from the Commonwealth Games sorted away in a presentable manner *holds back tears* but hey, maybe that could be another post if I ever get round to completing the monumental task of arranging it all.
  • I'm currently reading 'Gone Girl' and oh my gosh. If you haven't read it yet, get yourself down to your nearest bookstore/kindle and get reading. Yes, it's that good. I've been plowing my way through it the past couple of days and can't really put it down. I used to be such an avid reader but slowly began to read less and less as I grew up, as my studies got in the way. I'm definitely going to try to start to read more because I really do love it. Maybe I could start throwing in some book reviews/my favourite books that I've been reading recently onto here? Maybe being the operative word here people.
  • My blog needs a massive face lift. Massive. I've been stuck with the same, plain, old template since I started this blog and to say that I'm sick of the sight of it would be an understatement. If any of you can point me in the right direction/offer any recommendations/help a gal out, I would be eternally grateful.
Until next time!
